Charles “Charlie” Melvin Roberts, 71, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on December 9, 2024. Born on August 11, 1953, to the late Melvin and Celeste Roberts. Charlie lived a loyal and love for his family and many friends.
Charlie’s dedication and commitment were evident in his long career at Gold Medal Products, where he worked for 40 years before retiring in 2022.
An enthusiast of all the things sports and outdoors, Charlie was an active member of the Campbell County Game and Fish. He found joy in fishing and all things outdoors and was particularly passionate about his involvement in the annual Special Olympics Day, where he contributed his time and dedication.
Charlie was a loving father to Jenny (Roberts) Desormeaux (Chad) and Daniel Roberts (Mary Beth). He is survived by his siblings: Kenny Roberts, Jack Roberts (Debbie), Linda Ballman (Randy), Darlene Arthur (Jeff), Sharon Weber (Mike Duddey), Collette Carr (Rick), Jim Roberts, Donna Groneck (Gary), and Mark Roberts (Rhonda), many nieces and nephews.
Additionally, Charlie was cherished by Jessica Young, James Cox, and Jim McLaren.
One of Charlie’s most cherished sayings was, “Be Good or Don’t Get Caught” – a testimony to his playful sarcasm that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. “We love ya, Dad!”
Honoring Charlie’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial and celebration of his life will be held later, where family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate his life.
