Dennis Michael Guilkey, aged 62, passed away on April 2nd, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by family and friends after a battle with colon cancer. He was born March 26th, 1960 in Newport, KY to Eleanor Guilkey nee Finley and Patrick Franklin Guilkey. Dennis grew up in Newport and graduated from Newport High School in 1978. He received a degree in computer science from Northern Kentucky University in 1984. He married Nancy Guilkey nee Hayes, his wife of 36 years, on June 29th,1985 at St. Therese in Southgate, KY. He was beloved by his grandchildren: Ada and Bennett (Jerod and Dakota), Grayson (Jason and Elyssa), and Piper (Justin and Hayley). They will all miss their Papaw.
Dennis is survived by his wife, three sons, four grandchildren, his siblings Steve (Anita), Lisa, Jeff, Mark (Joyce), and Ginny (Mike) and many nieces and nephews. April 7, 2022 at 9:32 pmDennis was a great guy and great at his job at Vantiv. He was so respected by all that knew him or worked alongside him as I was fortunate enough to do. I so enjoyed talking to him about golf and later about his grandkids. God bless his family and may our Heavenly Father assuage the anguish of your bereavement, leaving you only the cherished memory of the love that you all have shared.
