Doris Jewell Begley, 93 of New Richmond, Ohio passed away April 9, 2024. She is preceded in her husband Marcus Begley, her parents Pleas L. Doan and Mattie Mink, siblings Edith Estes, Chester Doan, Ada Johnson, Ivan Doan and Charles Doan and grandson Alan Smith. Survived by her children Deborah (Robert) Ison, Mark Begley and Donna (Joseph) Vittitow, grandchildren Courtney (Ian) Henderson, Tyler Ison and Kelly, Kristen and Sarah Vittitow and greatgrandchildren Kellan and Aran Henderson, Margot Ison and Thomas Byrd and brother Charles (Doris) Doan. Jewell attended Sue Bennett college in London, Kentucky. She married Marcus Begley. Before becoming a mother, she worked at a bank in London, KY. She was a housewife and held various other jobs at Willis Music in Cincinnati and 5/3 Bank in Cincinnati. Her last employment was a seasonal job, then a full-time job with the IRS in Covington. While working at the IRS, she won various awards and had opportunities to travel as she trained other IRS employees. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crossword puzzles and Scrabble. In her youth, Jewell was often compared to Bonnie Lou on Midwestern Hayride or to Barbara Stanwyck.
