Eleanor (Ellie) Jane Leavell, born February 2nd, 1938, passed away July 13th, 2023, at the age of 85. Ellie attended Middletown High school and graduated in 1956. She married William C Thompson Sr. with whom she had one son, William C Thompson Jr. She loved every minute of her 40-year career as a labor and delivery nurse and supervisor at Bethesda Hospital. Ellie was an accomplished classical pianist, and in her spare time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandkids, Jessica and Kelly, and her great grandkids, Julia and Henry. She will be greatly missed by them and by her son’s partner Traci, her children June and Taran, and many other loved ones. A gathering will be held on Saturday, July 29th from 12pm until 2pm at the Madison House, 2324 Madison Rd, Cincinnati Oh 45208. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Civil Liberties Union, the Southern Poverty Law Center or to a charity of your choice.
