Gregory James Bauerle, the most badass Renaissance man to ever walk the Earth, left us suddenly on June 14, 2022. Greg was a devoted husband to Sandy and a fiercely loving father to Evangeline.
Greg was born in Dayton, KY to the late Amo and John Bauerle. Growing up he played football and basketball, and loved having fun with friends and working with his hands. He got his associates degree from Northern Kentucky State Vocational Technical School and continued his education throughout his life, earning many certifications. He worked hard as an electrician for over 25 years at RA Jones, always determined to provide well for his family, and was thrilled to retire at 62 in 2019.
Greg loved the outdoors– camping, hiking, canoeing, swimming and outdoor yoga were all some of his favorite activities. He also loved cycling, riding hundreds of miles with Sandy and friends over the years. He took walks nearly every day, recently with his new best friend, Dax the Standard Poodle. Cooking was another one of Greg’s talents. He was a certified (by his family) Grillmaster, and he and his daughter had recently perfected their pizza recipe.
Generous, loyal, loving, passionate, funny, gregarious, curious, free-thinking, strong-willed, Greg was one-of-a-kind; a true original. Greg loved and was loved so much, and we will miss him forever.
Gregory James Bauerle is survived by his wife Sandra Bauerle, daughter Evangeline Bauerle, brother Scott Bauerle (Vicky), sister-in-law Linda Bauerle, cousin Jim Parsons and nieces Kelly Buys, Julie and Jessica Bauerle. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John “Jay” Bauerle, grandfather James “Poppy” Stewart and his Aunt Julia Banfield.
