James “Jimmy” Hartig June 23, 1946 - January 4, 2024

James “Jimmy” Hartig age 78 of Melbourne KY passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2024. He was an army veteran and served in Vietnam. Jimmy was a member of the Campbell County Game & Fish Club. He was a talented wood carver and could “see” small animals in a raw branch. He is survived by his siblings Ruth Cavanaugh, Mary Jo Burkhardt, Joyce “Corky” Pauly, Harold Hartig, and Douglas “Yak” Hartig. Memorial service will be held at Melbourne Roadhouse 300 Melbourne Ave Melbourne KY on Saturday January 13, 2024, from 2 pm until 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
