Maria M. Rosen July 9, 1966 - December 24, 2024

Maria M. Rosen, 58, of Harrison, Ohio, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, with family at her side after a well fought battle with cancer. Born July 9, 1966, to Edward and Kerin Rosen, Maria was the fifth of seven children. She grew up in Harrison, attending St. John the Baptist School and Harrison Sr. High School. Maria loved the theater, performing in many productions in high school. She graduated from Morehead State University with a degree in Theatre Arts. Following graduation, she performed with a touring children’s theater group and spent many summers with The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama in Manteo, North Carolina, which were among her fondest memories. Maria worked for a time as a caregiver in group homes. She devoted many years taking care of her father and brother prior to their deaths, and in caring for her mother. Her deep love for her family and friends will always be remembered and cherished. Maria is preceded in death by her father, Edward, and brother, Neil Rosen. She is survived by her loving mother, Kerin Rosen; sister Laurie (Mike) Murphy; brother, Marc Rosen; and sisters Heather Duty, Jennifer Leugers and Erin Rosen; 16 nieces and nephews, 22 grand nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Nathanael Greene Lodge, 6394 Wesselman Rd, on January 4th, 2025, from 2pm-6pm. All are welcome to stop to visit with family and friends to share memories. A private Memorial Mass at St. Bernard Church in Taylor Creek and internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or charity of your choice.
