Paul B. Wynett, a longtime resident of Atlanta and Cincinnati, died after a prolonged illness on March 8, 2014, the day after his 84th birthday. He was preceded in death by Priscilla, his wife of 37 years, and his sister Elaine Katz of Philadelphia. He was a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and the youngest child of Harry and Blanch Wynett. After being awarded the Leisser Prize in high school, he received a full scholarship to Pratt Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Paul founded Visual Persuasion in Atlanta, a successful graphic design studio where for more than thirty years, he created award winning advertising campaigns for clients such as Blue Bird and Wonder Lodge. He will be remembered as an active member of the Roxboro Valley Association, an avid fisherman and watercolor artist.
In later years Paul was a passionate volunteer, teaching watercolor painting to his students at the Anderson Senior Center in Cincinnati. Paul and his beloved dogs volunteered with Therapy Dogs, Inc., providing comfort and affection to children and seniors in hospitals, nursing homes, and community centers. He will forever be remembered for his wry sense of humor and that sparkle in his eye. Paul is survived by his sons Craig (Denise) of New Richmond, OH, David of Atlanta, and Benjamin (Donna) of Canton, GA, his grandchildren Ryan, Jim, Lindsay, Ben Abbitt and his brother Stanley of Boulder, CO, former wife, Carol Boyd and special friend Carlos Carranza. Memorial services will be held at the Anderson Senior Center in Cincinnati, OH at 11:00 am on Sunday, March 16, at followed by a private burial in Appomattox, VA.
